Below you’ll find answers to the questions we get asked the most about – 

A : This is very dependant on the service being quoted, below are some of our common services and the preferred information;

Alloy conversion/re-tinning/re-balling/ball attach

  • Manufacturers part number (or datasheet) for the component
  • Quantity
  • Starting alloy and required alloy for finish
  • Any specific customer specifications – if not supplied, we will work to standard IPC/GEIA standards

PCB Rework/Modifications

  • Rework/Modifications document or listed steps
  • Quantity
  • Alloy required for rework
  • Drawing of PCB
  • Gerber may be required if a micro screen is needed or if detailed rework is required – ie: pad repair, mod wires

Test

  • Manufacturers part number (or datasheet) for the component
  • Quantity
  • Tests required – if unsure, we can suggest suitable testing

A : Our standard Turn Around Time is 10 working days, we also have two other options – premium service which is 5 working days (Cost +50%) and super premium which is 3 working days (cost +100%) *Conditions Apply based on regions.

A : For new customers, the first three orders must be paid by credit card or same day bank transfer before the goods will be shipped back to you. From your fourth order onwards our terms are standard 30 days net

A : Retronix have the capability to reball using spheres from 200 micron to 1000 micron. Retronix offer both Manual and Automated Laser BGA Reballing. 

A : No we are not IC suppliers, Retronix are a service provider offering component and PCB repair, rework and processing solutions.

A : No, our customers buy the components themselves and send to us for processing.  We work with a large amount of component suppliers, so you can arrange for parts to be shipped directly to us for processing.  We also do not buy PCBs.

A : Yes, we offer full rework, modification and component reclaim services.  We can take your MOD/Rework documents and complete the work required to IPC standards.

A: Yes, we do offer component testing.  If you require a quote on the options available for testing, please include component datasheet/s with your email enquiry and we can assess the best testing option we have available.  We also offer counterfeit testing for components.
