Retronix are joining Scotland in forging ahead to tackle global climate change and reach Net Zero by 2045
In 2019 the Scottish Government declared a climate emergency and subsequently set a landmark mandate of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2045 – five years before the rest of the UK. At Retronix, we are proud to be joining our home country in forging ahead to tackle global climate change.
This year Retronix was proudly certified as Operationally Carbon Neutral with the help of Redshaw Advisors and their Planet Zero Initiative. Our focus for the next two years is to invest in Woodland creation and peatland restoration schemes in Scotland to not only offset our emissions but to aim for a positive impact on Scotland’s overall environmental performance.
We have a local partnership with a Scottish Based Recycling company- Tess-Am. They take the scrap boards and do precious metal and mineral recovery such as copper, tantalum, and gold. We will continue to work with them to ensure optimised environmental impact. With an ambitious target to reach Net Zero by the year 2045, Retronix has a detailed roadmap to getting there.
